Abstract

The use of luminescent copolymers, such as polythiophene, has been extensively studied and used in various technological applications, with great importance today. This project involves the preparations of conjugated non-conjugated blends. The syntheses of two conjugated copolymers involve thiophene and phenylene or fluorene units by Suzuki reaction. The formation of the blend will be involving the copolymers and NBR, by spin coating technique, and it is noteworthy that, as far as we know, has never been described in the literature. However, previous work group involving others copolymers show that this technique is promising in the success of this project. It is expect that the preparation of these blends possible the formation of a material with good mechanical properties (arise from rubber) and luminescent. This properties can be the same or higher than the pure copolymer. Therefore, it is expect that these materials can be of great importance for the futures works in the field of opoeletronic devices.
