Abstract

This project aims to use symmetry descriptors in the context of data visual analytics. More specifically, we will develop a methodology capable of characterizing symmetries on data defined on graphs and time varying data. This project will also update the visualization library develop by the Visual and Geometry Processing Group with new software packages. We will employ our methodology in the visual analysis of urban data, application developed in collaboration with the New York University. The proposed technique will also be applied to visualize large time-varying data, particularly to estimate missing data.
