Abstract

The weeds of Convolvulaceae family are important in various cultures, interfering directly and indirectly in the production system. The study will aim to determine dose response curves and the residual of the herbicides tebuthiuron, amicarbazone, sulfentrazone, saflufenacil, mesotrione and imazapic applied on Ipomoea triloba, I. nil, I. hederifolia, I. quamoclit and Merremia aegyptia and M. cissoides. For this purpose will be performed three experiments, both following the completely randomized design with six repetitions. In the first experiment will be applied the following herbicide treatments in weed pre-emergence: tebuthiuron, amicarbazone, sulfentrazone, mesotrione, saflufenacil and imazapic in doses: D, 1 /8D, 1 /4D, 1 /2D, 2D, more witness without herbicide application, and D = the commercial dose of each recommended product for the clayey soil. The phytotoxicity assessments will be performed at 7, 14, 28 and 35 days after emergence of weeds (DAE), 35 DAE will be subject to the number of plants and shoot biomass. The second experiment will be performed in order to monitor the residual effect of tebuthiuron, amicarbazone, sulfentrazone, mesotrione, saflufenacil and imazapic herbiides applied in pre-emergency condition and at at 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 days after treatments (DAT), will be sowing the weed more susceptible to each herbicide in experiment 1. In the third experiment the amicarbazone, mesotrione, saflufenacil and imazapic will be invested in post-emergency condition of the weeds. Thus, when the plants are between the second and the fourth pair of true leaves, herbicide treatments will be applied at rates: 0L, D 1 / 8D, 1 / 4d, 1 / 2D, 2D, where D = a commercial dose . The development of dose-response curves will be made by the equation fit to the data collected from green biomass using log-logistic model. (AU)
