This study aims to evaluate the response curve of Japanese Quails to the intake of methionine. Will be used 392 birds with 16 weeks of age, distributed in a completely randomized design with 8 treatments (Met + Cys levels), seven replicates and seven birds each. The experimental diets will be formulated according to the technique of dilution where a diet with high protein content and a free protein diet then diets dilutions are made possible the achievement of higher levels of digestible methionine (0.347; 0.462 ; 0.578; 0.809; 0.924; 1.040 and 1.155%). The control treatment will be added to confirm that the experimental responses are due to the limitation of methionine. This level is obtained by addition of DL-methionine in 99% more deficient level (0,347+ 116 g / kg DL-Methionine feed 99%). The supply of feed will be ad libitum and the remains will be quantified weekly. In the trial will be assessed egg production (%), egg weight (g), egg mass (g) of methionine intake (mg / bird / day) and body weight of the birds. The variables will be studied by models such as broken line (BL), quadratic (Q) and combination of both (BL + Q).
