Abstract

With the systematization and compilation of data on the composition of each of the standing committees in both the House of Representatives, as the Senate is expected to describe and explain the role of the committees for the Brazilian political system, characterized greatly by logic the formation of coalitions. In summary, it is aimed to observe what, if any, strategies governing the distribution of seats in the legislative committees that while it provides proportionality in relation to the subtitles seat percentage in the Legislature, does not prejudice the bartered places in preferred commissions by each party. The organization of this new research front, as usual, serves not only to research purposes that guide this thematic project, but also the many other researchers who make use of the data made available by the group.
