This project presents a proposal in Scientific Initiation level in the area of electromagnetic transient phenomena in transmission lines. The goal is to analyze modules behavior of a physical model of transmission line constructed on a previous project of scientific initiation. The model uses single-phase circuits based on modified À representation. The classic structure of À circuits does not consider the influence of frequency and this causes significant errors in the calculations of currents and voltages propagated by the line outside the steady-state or high-frequency phenomena. Thus, in the classical structure of the À circuit, it may be inserted parallel RL blocks to simulate the influence of the frequency in the transmission line parameters. This physical model was based on a mathematical model previously developed. The mathematical model is solved using the state variables technique in conjunction with numerical method trapezoidal integration. The results of mathematical modeling were compared with results obtained by the main software applications used for transient simulations on grids. The primary purpose of the physical model analysis modules is to generate results for comparison with the results of the mathematical model. Based on such comparisons, there will be data for the mathematical model is ratified and, if possible, improved. (AU)
