Linked to empirical front of work "Management and conflict of urban spaces" of the thematic project, this program of activities aims to evaluate the performance of the state of São Paulo public defenders in concerning the guarantee of rights to the population inserted in the context of the conflicts that take place in the city of Sao Paulo. The proposal is to reconstruct the actions and judicial measures taken by the public defenders on behalf of a group of people affected by the actions of government. In this research we intend to address the development of a field in dispute within the justice system that opposes actors from different institutions, who hold different point of views, but also take part in the state organization.
