Abstract

This Scientific Initiation research is part of the ongoing project "Túnel de Vento de Camada Limite Atmosférica. Pesquisas em Arquitetura e Urbanismo e aplicações potenciais em outras áreas do conhecimento" process 2013.1.22948.1.0 - September 2013 to 2016 , approved in the Chamada Ampliação e Melhoramento da Infraestrutura de Pesquisa do Programa de Incentivo à Pesquisa INFRA-USP 2012-2013, Grupo B, to support the creation of multi-user instrumentation centers and core facilities. The project is coordinated by Profa. Dra. Denise Duarte and, with the resources released to date, instruments and supplies for research in the wind tunnel - built at FAUUSP, in a LABAUT - Laboratório de Conforto Ambiental e Eficiência Energética /LAME - Laboratório de Modelos e Ensaios partnership, are being acquired. Currently there is an ongoing process, FAPESP 2014/26769-1 - student Bruna Dallaverde de Sousa (under the guidance of Profa. Dra. Denise Duarte); and this research will work, jointly with the previously mentioned research, to define elements that make up the tests to be adopted for research involving the issue of natural ventilation to architecture and urbanism. The object of this research is the construction of the CLA - Atmospheric Boundary Layer of the atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel of FAU. The goal is to scale and build castellated barrier, the vortex generation and roughness elements of different urban occupations characteristics; in order to scale the specific CLA profiles for testing on physical scale models. The proposed method includes the literature; the design, construction and installation of the elements necessary to characterize the CLA profiles in the wind tunnel and the velocity profiles measurements with each element (at least three profiles on the width of the tunnel section - centered, right and left with Prandtl Pitot). After construction of CLA for terrain profiles physical model is constructed as Janeiro Borges et al (1981), for testing for erosion figures. These tests will be conducted with the isolated model and two orientations (0° and 45°).As a final result we will have profiles height of CLA and erosion figures, characteristics of each roughness. As endpoint will be used pre-established criteria and extracted from normative and references, as AMCA Standard 203-90, Eurocode, Counihan (1969 and 1973), Janeiro Borges et al (1981); as well as researchers from LNEC - Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil/Portugal (Engineers Jorge Saraiva and Fernando Marques da Silva) and IPT - Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas/Brasil (Physical Gilder Nader and Engineer Paulo Jabardo).
