Abstract

The project, based on Bakhtin's studies about language, proposes an analysis of social voices incorporated by the protagonists of two Tim Burton movies: Jack and Sally, from The Nightmare Before Chirstmas (1993) and Emily and Victor from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (2005). It's intended to understand the relation art and life from the Burton universe considering an analysis verbal, vocal and visual. The pertinence is found on the reflection about the relation art (cinematographic) and life. The idea is understanding how the ideological valorations presents on Burton's hollywoodians enunciates reflect and refract social standards through the subjects of his productions in a way interdiscursive and intertextual.
