Abstract

Throughout the history of information interchange, according to John Thompson (2012), there have been many material supports through which symbolic contents were transferred from producer to receiver. The development of technical media is important as it presents a potential of reorganizing social practices by changing the protocols of content interchange in society. Bringing that discussion to Literature, Roger Chartier (2007) offers an analysis that makes explicit the relations between 'literary creation' and its materialities, by considering that the latter influence on the interpretation of texts and the uses we make of them. According to Chartier (2003, p. 7), the possibility of inscription and circulation in digital media raises some changes that lead to ´transformation in the social practice of writing and reading, as well as new kinds of audience and the redefinition of identities and properties of the works.' In order to understand those changes, the corpus of this research consists of the blog Ismael Pele de Cão, and the book Os famosos e os duendes da morte (2010), written by Brazilian author Ismael Caneppele. This research investigates the characteristics of Caneppele's writing in different media of inscription, taking into consideration the concept of remediation (BOLTER; GRUSIN, 1999), that discusses the relation between different technical media and considers that new media do not surpass or replace previous ones, but coexist with them, instead, that reconfigures their meanings. Besides, we intend to observe in which way and to what extent the writing of Caneppele, by building up itself of diverse elements (verb, videos, photos, songs, and internet), provides constant motion of entrance and exit of texts, through the articulation of different media of inscription and circulation - the so called 'media intersection' (GARRAMUÑO, 2014). To understand the intertextual motion proposed by the texts, we use the concept of cultural recycling (KLUSCINSKAS; MOSER, 2007), which reviews the concept of aesthetic, from a reconsideration of the paradigm ´novelty, originality, authenticity' that, in the present time, has as a recurrent base the triad 'copy, recycling, serialization'.
