Abstract

This research aims to draw a comparative analysis of public politics for rural tourism in District of Santiago and Sar/Galicia - Spain and the Pontal do Paranapanema region/Sao Paulo - Brazil to verify its contribution to the valuation of cultural heritage. From previous knowledge about the Brazilian reality, and based on researches and data on this theme in Europe, specifically in Spain, it is believed that the Spanish reality, will contribute to rethink and realign the ongoing doctoral research. For these studies of cases with qualitative research aspect, will be substantial to do a discussion about public policies, territory, local development, tourism and cultural heritage in order to understand those relationship. Regarding the methodological procedure, it will be carried out bibliographic and documental research, mainly to analyze public policies of existing rural tourism in both cases and in addition, questionnaire and interview. It is assumed that, through a consistent public politic to local reality is possible to enhance the cultural heritage. (AU)
