Abstract

Upland rice is gaining importance in world agricultural scenario to be a form of cultivation with low consumption water for irrigation. Studies show that rice is very responsive culture by using growth regulators. The cytokinin is a vegetable hormone that plays many roles in division and cell expansion, establishment of drains, mobilization of nutrients and assimilates, increase in photosynthetic capacity and CO2 assimilation. Objective of this work is investigate the influence of application a cytokinin in upland rice cultivation on the aspects related to photosynthesis, growth analysis, absorption and redistribution of nutrients and crop yield. The experiment will be installed in the experimental area belonging to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences - UNESP, Botucatu. The trial will be conducted in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons. A randomized block design with four replications will be adopted, the treatments will be composed of control and three doses of thidiazuron (0.8; 1.6; 2.4 g ha -1), applied during tillering phase of the crop. At each stage of phenological development of culture will be evaluating gas exchange, nutrient content in plant and growth analysis. It will also be evaluated the components of production and crop yield. It is expected that the results obtained in this work can reveal the interaction of cytokinin with the aspects evaluated and consolidate a tool that provides an increase in rice productivity upland.
