Abstract

This research project, which will be developed by Daniel Azambuja, aims to: 1) develop a study on the linear dispersion of the monochromator THR1000 in order to better explore it, 2) examine the possibility of installation a new detector in the exit slit for temporal evolution of ion temperature measurements, 3) make possible the collaboration agreement with Dra. Claudia Mendes de Oliveira from IAG to create a group of optical designers to give a support the instruments of Giant Magellan Telescope project (2011 / 51680-6) and 4) to train people who can be part of the Opto-Mechanical Design group which was recently created with support of FAPESP (2014 / 13296-8) whose goal is to) create an optical programs bank which will have access the members group, allowing researchers from different laboratories to develop their projects b) create a group of Brazilian optical designers to enable for a given support of national projects and c) expand the collaborations both nationally and internationally in the field of optics.
