Abstract

Product-Service System (PSS) concerns to the integrated offer of products and services. PSS establishes a new approach to create value to customers and to support sustainable development in which new business models and processes are required. The product-service system development process is a key part of these requirements, since it should link the product development and service development. However, the main reference models for the PSS development, while emphasizing the integration of these processes (produc design and service design), they do not explain how it should occur. So, this post-doctoral project aims to identify and analyze the practices that support the integration between product development and service development, organizing them into dimensions (process, organizational and resources) in order to assist organizations seeking PSS develop projects. Several research methods will be employed (systematic literature search and explorative case study). The main result is the characterization of practices that promote integration between the product design and service design in PSS development projects.. This research project will be held at Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and it will be important for supporting future and ongoing research. The aim of this potential postdoctoral stage potential is to stimulate the applicant's contact with foreign researchers, especially with the supervisor, allowing the discussion about concepts and research methods more suitable with this kind of proposal. Another result of this project will be the promotion of research about PSS and the development of researchers in this area in Brazil (AU)
