Abstract

The project is related to SAYCARE multicenter study, which will be developed in São Paulo and another six South American cities: Teresina (Brasil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Santiago (Chile),Montevidéu (Uruguai), Lima (Peru) and Medellín (Colômbia). The study will be carried out in children and adolescents from 3 to 17 years old, divided in three age groups (preschool-children, school-children and adolescents), enrolled at public and private schools in each city. The objective of this project is to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of evaluation methods in children and adolescents body composition in South America.
