Abstract

The period of research under the direction of Professor Bertrand Binoche at the University Paris 1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne aims to develop some essential points of our doctoral project at the University of São Paulo under the direction of Professor Scarlett Marton: we will research on the historical dimension of the relationship between philosophy and science in Nietzsche. Firstly, we will investigate on the one hand as Nietzsche understands the historical development of the concepts of science and philosophy as well as the relationship between them, and on the other hand we will examine the different meanings that such notions acquire in his work. Subsequently, we will investigate the reasons that lead Nietzsche to establish the program of a historical philosophy, which was announced in Human, All Too Human (1878) and established a necessary dependency relationship between philosophy and science. Finally, we will examine the development of such a program in Human, All Too Human, Daybreak and The Gay Science, where Nietzsche not only continues his previous criticism but also formulates more consistently its own conception of science.
