Abstract

In this project we will study electronic states of quantum well in heterostructures that have topological phase, aiming to understand and control this phase by surface acoustic waves (SAWs). We will also study the quantum dynamics of exciton-polaritons in semiconductor cavities. The application of the surface acoustic waves will also be studied in this system. We will analyze the coupling between the exciton-polaritons and the acoustic waves, and the conditions in which it has a topological phase transition, the topological polaritons, also known as topolaritons.
