Abstract

We propose in this project of search the investigation of concept of autonomy of will and its relationship with the concept of categorical imperative in Kant's practical philosophy, in context of Groundwork of Metaphysic of Morals. Divergent readings of philosopher perceive considerable problems in appropriation of concept of autonomy in practical philosophy, whether it be for an ambiguity of concept, whether it be for the difficulties of a morality based in will. Will be built, amongst a critical analysis of text and of dialogue with these commentators, an viable solution for these impasses of autonomy. In these sense, did necessary to reconsider the relationship between the autonomy and the categorical imperative, relationship in which the problem of ambiguity is present, well as in process of universalization that to give rise at imperative. That way, the project will follow the hypothesis of that, for the solution of problems of autonomy to be realized, will be necessary a critical analysis of three fundamental moments of work: first the study of the process by universalization of maxim, present in the first section of Groundwork, with emphasis in the second and third propositions about the moral actions; second, the process of formulation of categorical imperative, with view at principle of autonomy; and third, the genesis and structure of own concept of autonomy.
