Abstract

This research proposal is centered in the study of the alteration minerals in the area of Carrapato, Auriferous Province of Alta Floresta (Mato Grosso), using the x-ray diffractometry analysis. In order to refine the mineral assemblages it will be used the Rietveld method that provides, therefore, a quantitative analysis. This approach will allow the study and understandig of the alterations in hydrothermal systems and it will estabilish prospective guidelines for the exploration of the auriferous deposits in the abovementioned region.
