Abstract

This project deals with the study of the process of degradation and thermal decomposition of leather residue that can be developed at a later stage, briquettes of this waste as an energy source alternative. Initially, the residue is subjected to micronization process and is subsequently dried in an oven. After these procedures will be carried out the study of thermal properties (thermal degradation, decomposition, and determining the released components in each stage of firing, as the temperature at which the material is subjected). The techniques used are: TGA / DTG, TGA / FTIR.
