Abstract

The ecological succession is an event that consists in a change of the communities structure after an impact, which removes part of the local community, opening clearings. After impact, the community will go through a succession process, which begins with the arrival of the first individuals. These first subjects can be replaced until the end of the process. The aim of this project is to study the assemblies of Tanaidacea living associated with algae Sargassum cymosum over a succession process, to confirm that the change in substrate affects the species composition, the size of individuals, and the sex ratio. 32 disturbances were caused, simulating the opening of clearings and for a year was accompanied the colonization process of impact.
