Abstract

The theme of this research is the rivers and the city Design. The aim is to study projects and constructions of urban infrastructure and public facilities for the restructuring of the fluvial edges of Metro São Paulo. As object of research it's proposed the fluvial port of the Ecoport, component that integrates the Project for the Metro Hidroway Ring of São Paulo, developed by the Research Group on Fluvial Urban Infrastructure Architecture Projects - Fluvial Metro Group, of the Project Department of FAU-USP. This research takes part on the work conducted by this group and is justified for the relevance of establishing a Metro Hidro Net and for the reactivation of the fluvial edges as spaces of use, recreation and contemplation by the city residents. The main goal is the develop a critical revision of what, until the present moment, was proposed and developed for the Ecoport. It will be conduced a critical characterization of the Ecoport program allied with the evaluation that seeks to discuss in what manners the public facility contributes for the restructuring of the fluvial edges. The methodology will consist in two steps. First there will be a theoretical research and survey on projects and constructions of fluvial urban infrastructure. Then it will be followed by the characterization, threw the comparison with other projects, nationals and abroad, that references with the proposed discussion, searching to analyze its adequacy on the hidro geomorphological condition of the Hidrografic High Tiete Basin and the applicability of its conceptual bases on the Metro São Paulo region. It's expected as final products a scientific text and technical architecture drawings that compose the critical revision in question.
