Abstract

The study covers the area of congenital heart diseases, diseases that are characterized by both anatomical malformations and functional heart and great vessels. The incidence of congenital heart disease is 8 to 10 per 1,000 live births. In the case of these diseases there are many tests involved in the search for a correct diagnosis, which can contribute through different information influencing thus the proper preparation and surgical monitoring. Thus, the study aims to analyze the importance and contribution of CT angiography in obtaining clear diagnosis and appropriate surgical procedure in patients with heart univentricular. The results should be analyzed and used to establish a routine in the use of imaging tests for patients with congenital heart disease, EPM - UNIFESP. For this purpose, 20 patients with heart univentricular will be submitted to the department of radiology imaging of Hospital for performing CT angiography. These patients also have their accompanied surgical procedure.
