Abstract

The research consists in the proposal of a new field of research on the criminal sciences, the corporate victimology, based on the convergence between the foundation of victimology and corporate criminology, especially concerning the corporate victimization. After properly conceiving the corporate victimology, oriented by a review of the corporate liability´s strategies, it´s expected to reach a configuration of a theoretical body to allow evaluations on the links between - from one hand - the damages caused by harmful corporate wrongdoing and - on the other hand - better alternatives to preventing victimization and reducing damages to the victims. Regarding applied methods, the research is based on a systematic review of available literature on victimology and consistent analyses on possible convergences with the corporate criminology, under decisively influence of the interdisciplinary researches developed by the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
