Abstract

This project aims to evaluate the functional conversion of a railway building in São Paulo, in order to detect the spatial and functional changes after its occupation by analyzing the degree of user satisfaction and compatibility factors in use in space . The evaluation of the proposal focuses on the Jaguariúna Railway Station and is embedded in the procedures and methods of the Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE). Evaluating the functional conversion process is intended to contribute to the understanding of the adaptability of this condition Paulista railway building, knowing the response capacity of the built environment in the face of requests arising from activities implemented. The proposal is linked to two major projects funded by FAPESP, as follows: "Memory Train (1869-1971): Inventory Paulista railway industrial heritage" FAPESP No. 12 / 11259-2 and "Projective Guidelines from the Post-Occupancy Evaluation : the case of collections of Railway Museums Paulistas " FAPESP No. 2014 / 07634-8.
