Abstract

This research project aims to investigate, in the light of Functional Discourse Grammar (HENGEVELD; MACKENZIE, 2008), clauses denominated by writers like Flamenco García (1999) and Rodríguez Rosique (2012) as Concessive-Conditionals introduced by incluso Si in data of writing peninsular Spanish, under the hypothesis that the hybridism proposed for this kind of clause does not exist. Consequently, we intend to analyze the morphosyntactics, semantics and pragmatics properties of those clauses. The universe of investigation is based on the corpus CREA (Corpus de referencia del español actual). The importance of this research consists in contributing to the descriptive studies of writing Spanish and in testing the applicability of the model of Functional Discourse Grammar, contributing to its advancement.
