Abstract

This study aims to compare the present level of development of skills and abilities in graduates of the course of Aeronautical Engineering of the School of Engineering of São Carlos (EESC - USP) in relation to the expectations of the labor market and, subsequently, propose amendments to the course structure from teaching-learning and assessment methodologies distinct of traditional. The taxonomy of skills and abilities will be used the CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate), supported by curricular guidelines and graduates profiles of UNESCO, MEC and EESC. As compared meters will be applied questionnaires and interviews with graduates and their parents in typically interested companies in this professional. Appropriate methodologies for the course will be set from bibliographic studies and field study visits to institutions operating teaching and learning and assessment models innovative. By analyzing the results derived from questionnaires and interviews by statistical feature and confront them with the advantages and disadvantages of the methods studied-as PBL (Problem Based Learning) and Keller method - it is expected as a result of an optimization proposal to the course.
