Abstract

The global agricultural production is expected to grow substantially in the next few years; therefore, it is necessary to produce food in a sustainable manner in order to minimize negative environmental effects, caused, among other reasons, by the incorrect use of herbicides. In this way, the objective of this project is to evaluate the potential of spectral signature in identify areas with different sorption capacities of the Imazaquin herbicide. Therefore, 384 soil samples will be collected in depth between 0.00 to 0.25 m, in a mesh with sample density of 2.5 points / ha, throughout the experimental area of 908 hectares. It will be determine the organic matter content, pH, Ca, Mg, K, (H+Al), cation exchange capacity (CEC), granulometry calculation of Freundlich coefficient for sorption of Imazaquin herbicide and Spectroscopy Diffuse Reflectance (SDR). The data will be submitted to descriptive statistics. It will also be performed the Pearson correlation analysis between the attributes studied and constructed regression model between SDR and the herbicide sorption coefficient. It will also be calculated the average of each attribute as the soil classes and as the spectral signature of classes of the experimental area. In order to verify statistical difference between the mean values of soil attributes. Analysis of the spatial dependence of the data will be made through geostatistics, using variograms. In addition, spatial pattern maps will be built.
