Abstract

This project seeks to develop a device to make luminescence measurements that will be installed inside a scanning tunneling microscope at low temperature. This device will be optimized following proprietary ideas and it will have a performance compatible with the bests in the world. Such project is part of a project Young Researcher FAPESP (Jovem Pesquisador FAPESP) which enables the purchase of the microscope and whose goal is to study the luminescence of nanostructured semiconductors. The work of undergrad project involves simulations of the optic system (geometrical optics) using Python, the construction of a prototype of the device and tests of its performance. The final version of the device will be coupled on the STM at the end of this project. (AU)
