Abstract

In this project we propose to characterize the Leishmania ATR kinase, a central factor in response to replicative stress in other eukaryotes. For this, we will generate an ATR-deficient cell line and carry out the functional characterization of the protein. We will also use high-throughput approaches to study the effect of ATR deficiency in the overall response to replicative stress. For this, we will investigate the effect of replicative stress in the profile of replication origin use and copy number variation across the genome of an ATR-deficient cell line. (AU)
