Abstract

Being periapicopathy one of the most prevalent diseases affecting the teeth and their adjacent structures , and stress a significant and common risk factor for several diseases, including periapicopathy and periodontal disease , this study will evaluate the performance of chronic stress on health individual and its importance in stimulating the sympathetic nervous system. Chronic stress appears to have a label which coincides with the dysregulation in cortisol levels, and this can reduce the bone formation, the absorption of calcium and negatively regulate collagen synthesis. They will be studied in animal models blocking the action of drugs adrenergic alpha receptors (phentolamine) and beta (propranolol) and their pharmacological effects in the modulation of the sympathetic system, evaluating its ability to control the progression of periapical disease (AU)
