Abstract

The main aim of this project is to make a thorough research about the Portuguese language writers who are not Goan but have made of Goa the main topic of their writing from the XIX to XXI centuries. The intention of the project is to identify how much this Portuguese colony, after the Indian state, was the object of interest of these writers. The project will privilege works that have Goa as their main scenario or are somehow centered in some aspect of its culture. In this way, it will be possible to see to what an extent Goa was the literary object of writers in the Portuguese language as well as the genres in which it was represented. (AU)
