Abstract

Introduction: The breast cancer it's a non-dermatological tumor higher prevalence in women in Brazil and in the world, and has high rates of incidence and mortality. The ageing is one of the main risk factors, besides family history, genetic mutations, among others. Although the mortality higher levels, currently there is a great modality treatments, depending on the disease stage, and includes surgery, hormone therapy and chemotherapy. The taxanes are chemotherapeutic drugs that have been introduced in the treatment of breast cancer in the 90s, and many studies have shown a good response to these medications, and became strong therapeutic base especially when it comes to metastatic breast cancer .Objectives: Map evidence of systematic reviews published on the efficacy and effectiveness of the use of taxanes in the treatment of breast cancer. Methods: A review of systematic reviews in the literature will be held. Cochrane's and non-Cochrane systematic reviews were included, with or without a meta-analysis involving any of taxanes using strategy (dose, time, and schema) for chemotherapeutic treatment of any type of breast cancer. All outcomes will be considered, including clinical, laboratory and administrative / economic outcomes. (AU)
