Abstract

The systematic situation of Pseudonannolenidae Silvestri, 1895 is quite questioned. For the family, Pseudonannolene Silvestri, 1895 is the richest genus, but with several inconsistencies according to the diagnosis of the determined species and their evolutionary relationships. Besides, many species described in the beginning of the last century need some complementary descriptions. The genus, with distribution typically Neotropical, is diagnosed by the presence of a longitudinal suture on promentum of the gnathochilarium, and a squamous solenomere involved by the internal branch on the distal portion of the gonopod. The genus belonging to Pseudonannoleninae Silvestri, 1895, with the genera Epinannolene Brolemann, 1903 and Typhlonannolene Chamberlin, 1923. The remaining genera of the family are located in Cambalomminae Mauriés, 1977 (monotypic) and Physiostreptinae Silvestri, 1903 (3 gen.) in the relation to their characteristics on gnathochilarium and gonopod. The present project aims the taxonomic review of the genus Pseudonannolene, besides proposing a hypothesis of the evolutionary relationships among the species of the genus based on their relations with the others genera in the family.
