Abstract

Due to the shortage of information related to the effect of fertilization on yield and quality of vegetable seeds, especially the increase in the cycle due to the reproductive stage, there is a need for studies to assist in the recommendation to provide favorable seed production with high physiological. The study aims to evaluate the effect of foliar boron application in different stages of development of cauliflower production and physiological seed quality. The experiment will consist of factors: the number of applications boron (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) foliar 1.0 L-1 g, combined with five application times (flowering stem to 30 cm; opening the first flowers; formation of the first siliques, 50% formed siliques; 100% formed siliques), resulting in a total of 16 treatments and four replications. The experimental design is a randomized block. the following will be evaluated: height and mass of dry plant matter; mass of seeds per plant; Mass of 1000 seeds; number of seeds per plant; seed quality (germination test, first count, seedling dry matter and electrical conductivity of seeds). It will be performed analysis of variance and the averages are compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. (AU)
