After the earthquake that shook Haiti in January 2010, a new wave of immigration had beginning in Brazil which became one of the main destinations for Haitian immigrants. At that moment, the country was in full economic growth and attracted the immigrants by its possibilities for a better insertion in the labor market. In the state of São Paulo, especially in the capital, the civil construction sector was the main employer of this group of immigrants. However, the economic crisis starts dismantling this sector which is considered as a stimulus that animates job creation. This research project intends to describe and analyze the social trajectories of the Haitian immigrant workers who integrated the labor market of São Paulo from 2010. knowing that the relation between immigration and labor market is an essential aspect to analyze the social place that occupy the Haitian immigrants, this project intends to understand how the insertion of these immigrants in the labor market of the capital of São Paulo and Campinas city (SP), is done.
