Abstract

The relationship between water, energy and food resources has been the subject of intense study by the world scientific community, composing the so-called "water-energy-food nexus". This research area is justified by the fact that these resources are fundamental for sustainable development, and are subject to pressures of the same nature (eg, demographic, economic and climatic pressures). In addition to these factors, the complexity of the nexus is increased by the interdependence between the sectors producing these resources. There is a real need to understand the perception, experience and learning of the people, the end users of these resources, about the interrelationships between them. This understanding makes it possible to address crucial issues such as equal access, resilience to resource pressures, and the role of education in responding to the needs and aspirations of diverse communities. The (Re) Connect the Nexus project was proposed to contribute to understanding the role of the young person in issues related to the water-energy-food nexus. The studied age range was defined considering that children above 10 years of age and young people up to 24 years of age are the main target audience for education programs, mainly Education for Sustainability, and also for the greater reflective capacity and involvement of this age group in relation With the support of the students of scientific initiation (CI), the postdoctoral student will carry out a preliminary analysis on the information obtained by means of statistical procedures, to be presented to the research team and discussed . Subsequently, it will conduct additional testing and analysis, in collaboration with the postdoctoral fellow. The postdoctoral student will work in a supportive role during qualitative interviews and workshop activities, providing support in identifying and contacting schools, colleges, community groups and other organizations to ensure an adequate sample, as well as in the Organization of workshops. It should support project coordination in supervising the uploading of interview transcripts to the software to be used for content analysis and to perform the data processing required for it, as well as in producing collaborative preliminary results reports, reporting continuous iterative analysis For the entire project team. With the support of the students of scientific initiation (CI), the postdoctoral doctor will carry out a preliminary analysis on the information obtained through statistical procedures, to be presented to the research team and discussed.
