Abstract

Within our theoretical team's wider research program, at the São Carlos Institute of Physics, this scientific-initiation proposal aims at studying all the introductory topics on quantum mechanics necessary for enabling the student to tackle the calculations and to understand thoroughly the two-spin-entangling-collision Moeller operators, with the spatial translation simplified to one dimension. This is intended to be achieved during three years, with the provision of this proposal being renewed twice. The relations between the forward and backward time propagation and the Moeller operators will be informally placed in the context of the two-state-vector formalism of weak measurements. During this process, with our well-defined purpose, several central and current topics of quantum mechanics, including quantum information theory, will be approached as the student accumulates knowledge.
