Abstract

The stage abroad proposed here is part of the research Brecht in the cinema of Latin America. In order to get to the core of the research - the analysis of the incorporation of Brecht's aesthetic proposals by certain Latin American filmmakers (Glauber Rocha, Gutiérrez Alea, García-Espinosa, Solanas and Sanjinés) - two topics must be studied: the relations established by Brecht with the cinema and the appropriation of his ideas in film theory and criticism during the 1960s and 1970s. Such topics will be the foundation for the analysis of the incorporation of Brecht's ideas by the aforementioned filmmakers.
