Abstract

The conception of a Product-Service System (PSS) is being seen as a possible dematerialization strategy in response to the challenge of sustainability. This model seeks to offer economic value to a customer, satisfy their needs and optimize the efficient use of resources. Together with the PSS, reverse logistics (LR) is an important way of contribution to dematerialization by returning the product to the manufacturer and maximizing the useful life of a material. Both systems, LR and PSS, need to be designed from the perspective of the consumer to be successful, since prior involvement with the user seeks to achieve better solutions to meet their specific demands. However, there were no studies that focused the needs and the role of the consumer in a context of use and return of the product after use. In this sense, this research seeks to understand the user's needs in reverse logistics in a product-service system (PSS), having as a study product the electromedical equipment. Methodological procedures, such as case studies, will be important for the development of this research, because it will allow the researcher to be exposed in practice with the real problems and the perception of the people. To better achieve the objectives of the study, we intend to use the professional software MAXQDA that will contribute to the qualitative analysis and compilation of the results obtained. (AU)
