Abstract

This project consists of studying the territorial impacts of Vale S/A megaproject of coal extraction in Moatize, province of Tete - Mozambique. We will analyze this reality through the theoretical reference on extractive policies or neo-extractivism, in contrast to the concept of sustainable development of VALE S/A and from the conceptual debate with other concepts such as territory, sustainable development and conflicts, resulting from disputes over ownership and control of territories and natural resources. And in this context, we want to understand the process of territorial differentiation produced by the peasant deterritorialization promoted by Vale S/A.
