Abstract

Current debates in theory of anthropology have been raising serious objections to the notion of "truth" as it is usually formulated by tradicional ocidental philosophy. A number of these objections is the starting point of this project, which aims at reflecting on a possible new notion of "truth", constructed by and through Nietzsche's philosophy. Hence, we briefly present Nietzsche's criticism of the notion of metaphysical truth, remarking, when possible, on similarities with current anthropological debates. Then, we begin to address the issue of a new notion of truth in Nietzsche, as it has been approached by recent specialists. Finally, we justify the philosophical relevance of thinking this matter through in Nietzsche and in connection with anthropology. Thus, we mean to inquire into a new notion of truth in Nietzsche - shedding light on the connections the problem of truth has with other relevant nietzschean concepts (such as 'will to power', 'perspective/perspectivism', 'interpretation', etc) - as well as to analyse the consequences that Nietzsche's thought may have for the formulation of philosophical questions raised by current anthropology.
