Abstract The project's objective is the analysis of the literature about the origin of music as a human behaviour, based on the 4 Tinbergen's questions (which demand explanations towards the mechanism, ontogeny, phylogeny and function of a behaviour) as first approach, later, arguing in favor of a revisitation of these theories based on new understations about the ludic behaviour. It intends to bring to discussion a new hypothesis that the human musical behaviour did not appear and sustained itself as a primary adaptation, rather it was a side effect of the development of other human cognitive areas, and that today's music came as a ludic behaviour, not with a specific function to the human being. It is not the objective to deny the importance of music in cultural development, but to deny it's blur when analyzed as a shadow of the verbal communication or as a hierarchical behaviour. (AU) | |
