Abstract

Within the scope of bioenergy production studies, this project will focus on the assessment of an anaerobic sequencing batch reactor containing immobilized biomass (AnSBBR) with recirculation of the liquid phase applied to the production of biomethane from the co-digestion of vinasse (effluent from bioethanol production) and glycerin (effluent from biodiesel production). The effect of feed strategy and applied volumetric organic load (varied by influent concentration and cycle length), as well as temperature will be assessed on stability, organic matter conversion and methane productivity/yield.
