Abstract

The biological contamination corresponds to an important challenge faced in laboratories. As a consequence, entire research can be harmed. The methods of prevention and control of microorganisms in the market currently do not guarantee total elimination, being able, in some cases, to aggravate the contamination. In view of the, as alternative method for tests and development of new products, research comes being carried through with intention to solve this problem. The Latrunculina toxin, that corresponds to the composed one with antibiotics properties extracted of the Negombata magnifica, a poriferous that inhabits the Red Sea, will be tested in order to more analyze its performance in relation to control of the environment bacterial growth more present in laboratories of cellular culture, with the objective of deposition of innovative product patent to control the microbiological quality of the water used in water baths and in cell culture incubators. Keywords: Biological contamination. Cellular culture. Latrunculina A/B. Anti-Bacterial activity. (AU)
