Abstract

The aim of this project is to present the research that we want to develop around the poetry of Jacques Brault, one of the most important French expression poets of the 20th century. In order to critically and consistently introduce the poetry of Jacques Brault in Brazil, it seems necessary to write an essay in which the main features of his poetics and how it transforms from the 1960s to the 1990s are evidenced. The writing of this essay is one of the objectives of this project, to which is added the selection and the translation of a set of poems capable of synthesizing the long trajectory of the poet. The expected result of this research is an anthology of the poetry of Jacques Brault, preceded by a critical study that also takes into account the different phases of his poetic work.
