Abstract

The open innovation theme proposes a set of mechanisms for the use of external and internal sources in order to assist in the process of generating ideas and joint development of technologies, products and processes. This scientific initiation project aims to identify and analyze the main practices and obstacles mentioned in the literature, especially the national one, regarding the operationalization of open innovation and analyze these aspects in a technology-based company. To do so, the methods used will be the bibliographic review in national and international periodicals and annals of congresses. In addition to a theoretical review on the subject, it is intended to carry out a single case study in a technology-based company that adopts principles of open innovation. This case study will aim to compare the results obtained in the literature with company practices. As expected results of this project, it is intended to expand the set of knowledge about obstacles and practices for open innovation, especially under Brazilian reality. In addition, it is expected to communicate the results of this research in periodical and relevant congresses in Production Engineering. (AU)
