Abstract The purpose of the following research is to carry on with our study about philosophy social representations in Brazil and France. In doing so, we will be improving the methodology of comparative discourse analysis, a domain of studies not very developed yet in Brazil. To this end, we will make use of a corpus of Brazilian and French popular philosophical magazines - namely Filosofia Ciência & Vida and Philosophie Magazine -, published between 2006 and 2016. We will strive to examine, through linguistic marks found in the discourses of these magazines, how philosophy is represented in them, and what one intends with the publishing of this discipline in Brazil and France. Such analysis will allow us, on the one hand, to go deeper into the results obtained in our doctoral thesis - seeking to understand the reason why philosophy is an institution more consolidated in France than in Brazil - and, on the other hand, to strengthen the comparative discourse analysis in our country (with the results of our comparative research as with the promotion of this domain in events, seminars, lectures and publications).
