Abstract

Intrafamily violence across generations means the cycle of reproduction of toxic and coercive practices that are naturalized and passed from generation to generation within a family nucleus. According to the literature, if there are no protective resources and assertive interventions with the victims, the probability of reproduction of intrafamily violence occurring tends to increase considerably. Based on these findings, this research project aims to assess the configuration and modes of functioning and affective social support present in the childhood of adults who have practiced violence against children and adolescents. The research will be qualitative, in a transversal period and from the multiple case study design. Fieldwork will be conducted with three adults of both sexes who violated their children's rights through physical, psychological, and neglect / neglect. Participants are attending the services offered in a CREAS (Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance) located in a midsized city in the inner of São Paulo state. For data collection, three instruments will be employed: the Interview About the Parents' Past (ESPP), the Genogram and the Ecomap. All stages, including the dialogues established from the construction of the Ecomap and Genogram, will be recorded in an electronic device and submitted to the fully transcription. The analysis of the data will be performed through content analysis technique. The findings obtained in this investigation can provide more precise indicators on the reproduction of intrafamily violence, as well as subsidize a debate on models of interventions that can be directed to similar cases.
