Abstract

This research project intends to study the literary production about Brazilian dictatorship, in particular novels produced in the 21st century, post-dictatorial, in an intertextual and interdiscursive approach. Written within a time lapse of more than forty years, the literary works build a type of reading about the historical past from the current days, and mostly about the survivors' attempt of working through the traumatic experience. The proposal focus on the literary corpus of Ainda estou aqui (2015), by Marcelo Rubens Paiva; Azul-corvo (2010), by Adriana Lisboa; K. - relato de uma busca, (2011), by Bernardo Kucinski; and Soledad no Recife (2009), by Uraniano Mota, to analyze the ways the resistance and the resistance activists are symbolized in these works, in other words, assuming the hypothesis that these novels present another literary perspective on what it meant and to what means, today, to resist. In contrast to the point of view of official history, which aims to erase and to silence, the literary pieces try to incorporate the history of those who participated of the opposition, many by giving their own lives, in a way that they will not be forgotten. This project passes by the concepts of trauma, mourning, gender and defeat and the hypothesis that, from a different time of enunciation, resisting expands to literature itself, through narrators and actors who, many decades after, write, in their literary works, the traumatic experiences of this period and the characters' erased or hidden stories.
